I write primarily fantasy and science fiction, with the occasional foray into general fiction and essays.

| Profile/Bio: | I'm that somewhat rare creature, a Los Angeles native. I graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and I make my living as a practicing vet here in L.A. I hope someday soon to quit and write full time. In addition to working as a vet and my writing, I also belly dance with a terrific group of women in Ya Harissa Bellydance Theatre. I've travelled extensively and my respect for other cultures has greatly influenced my writing. My debut novel, 'Griffin's Daughter' was the winner of the 2008 Ben Franklin Award for Best First Fiction, given by the Independent Book Publishers Association. My second book, 'Griffin's Shadow' has been officially endorsed by both Publisher's Weekly and the Library Journal. The third book in the trilogy, Griffin's Destiny, will be available in paperback in early 2010. It is currently available in the Kindle format from Amazon.com as are the first two books. The first two books can be purchased online in paperback format at Amazon.com or at local booksellers everywhere. I am currently represented by Denise Dumars of the Ashley Grayson Literary Agency. |
