The UCLA
Writers Faire offers free mini-classes and panel
discussions in creative writing and screenwriting, hosted by fall
Writers' Program instructors. Students get free writing instruction,
chat with instructors, register for most fall courses at a 10%
discount, learn more about the Writers' Program, discuss goals
with advisors, and visit with graduate writing programs, community
and professional organizations, and writing-allied businesses. You
do NOT have to be a GLAWS member to attend. Event is open to
the public.
The UCLA Writers Faire will be
held in the Young Hall Courtyard on the UCLA campus.

Exhibit mall (with GLAWS) opens at 10am.
The classrooms and restrooms are air-condtioned. There is a charge
for parking.

GLAWS Hospitality
Staff should arrive by 9:00 am and park in Structure 2 off
Higard Ave on the east side of the campus. Please meet on the ground
floor by the elevator and handicap spaces (the BLUE "X")
to unload/load equipment for the GLAWS display.
The tables are in the open courtyard between
Young Hall and Boettler Hall. Please dress appropriately for an outdoor
event, including a hat and sun block. Wear your GLAWS Badge at all
times. We will have a shade umbrella over the table and a cooler
with bottled water for staff. (The Fire Marshall would not allow any
tents)
There should be several locations on campus
open for lunch.
